Cheddar’s does not offer many options for those that have gluten sensitivity, food allergies, or Celiac Disease, but if you have NCGS or wheat intolerance, and are dining here, you have a few options to choose from. Certainly be sure to notify your server of cross contamination issues, just to be extra cautious.
Cheddar’s gluten free menu could certainly be expanded, since restaurants are becoming more aware of food sensitivities. However, you won’t necessarily go hungry with those large, gluten-free options.
Some of the favorite gluten free menu items are the grilled items as well as the chicken pecan salad.

Popular Gluten Free Items at Cheddar’s
Who doesn’t enjoy a nicely grilled steak? I know for one that I do.
One of the most popular steaks is the Ribeye, due to its marbled, flavorful cut of meat. Select two gluten free sides, and you’re good to go.
Just be sure to watch what steak sauce you use, if you’re a steak sauce eater. Some may have ingredients listed that are on the prohibited list.
To me, there is nothing better than a full slab of tender ribs, smothered in sweet and smoky BBQ sauce – the messier the better. Pair this with a delicious side salad, without croutons – of course – and you have the perfect meal.
While there’s not a lot of gluten free options here, there’s high praise going to Cheddars for making its BBQ sauce gluten free, as not all restaurants do this.
Not only is the Grilled Salmon a tasty option for those that have food intolerances, but it’s healthy and gives you your recommended daily Omega 3s. I call this a win-win.
The salmon is cut in-house and served grilled, as the gluten free option. Please don’t mix this up and order the blackened or glazed salmon, as these are not included in this gluten-free selection.
Enjoy Cheddar’s Gluten Free Offerings
Regretfully, I wish there was more to say about Cheddars, but it is simply lacking in NCGS offerings and could use a friendly nudge to create additional offerings.
Nonetheless, and sorry for being a Debbie Downer, enjoy the mass quantities of steak and ribs. They are actually pretty delicious.
