It’s probably no surprise that their salads are far and away their most popular gluten-free option on the menu, especially when you consider that when you order a burger without the bun, you’re essentially just getting a burger salad. It’s nice that their fries aren’t gluten-free, as many places you’ll stop in at can’t guarantee that do to other menu items that have gluten but are also fried in the same fryer. We have to admit that this is one of our favorite menu items as well, even without the gluten-free aspect. There’s something about the pairing of crisp, delicious apples with the natural nutty flavor and crunch of pecans that make us happy in our stomach box. Combined with a perfect dressing and crisp lettuce, and there’s nothing about this offering to hate.

We would be remiss if we didn’t mention their fries on this list, especially since Wendy’s is one of the few fast food restaurants that ensure that you don’t have to worry about cross-contamination in their fries. If you’re looking for fries perfectly fried to a golden brown without the concerns that come with non-gluten-free fryers, then these are for you.

That’s right, every flavor of Frosty you can think of is on their gluten-free menu. This is due to them using other methods of thickening their Frosty that ensure that everyone can enjoy them, unlike certain other restaurants that use a wheat-based powder to give their shakes bulk. Wendy’s has a respectable number of items on their gluten-free menu even without resorting to the bunless wonders. The majority of these may not quite have the weight of the standard burger, but they’re certainly healthier overall, especially for those who are adversely affected by gluten. We stand by our statement that one of the most appealing parts of their menu is that they have a standard dessert item that is perfect and completely gluten-free, and honestly, the best thing ever is dipping french fries in a chocolate Frosty, so it’s an all-around win.
