Don Pablo’s History
Don Pablo got its start in 1985 when it was established with the goal of bringing great Tex-Mex flavors to the American public in a way new to the industry. Every day thousands of tortillas are freshly prepared in front of the customer, forming the foundation of a menu that would become a favorite of customers everywhere. So successful was the businesses growth that Apple South, the owner of a significant number of Applebee’s restaurants, ultimately divested itself of its entire ownership to focus on Don Pablo’s after changing its name to Avado Brands. Ultimately many of its locations had to close due to financial struggles, but 8 locations still exist to serve their customers.
