Burger Lounge’s History
It started in sunny California when J. Dean Loring founded Burger Lounge by opening three restaurants in 2007. The son of a butcher he worked with local farmers and ranchers to produce a delicious burger from sustainably sourced foods and a dedication to creating the best-tasting burgers around. From the very beginning, he was determined to demonstrate that it was possible to run a big chain burger restaurant with sustainable practices without costing an arm and a leg.
To that end they use only biodegradable packaging, convert their cooking oil into bio-fuel which is then used to keep their vehicles on the road, and all of their food waste is composted. Every element of their restaurant’s operation is backed by products that can be recycled and they strive to maintain their green certification every year.
