Popular Menu Items
The signature items on the Cook Out menu include burgers made from 100% fresh, never frozen, beef and over 40 varieties of hand spun shakes. There are plenty of menu surprises like chopped pork BBQ, Cajun style chicken, and char-grilled hot dogs; just a few of the items you don’t expect to find at a typical fast food restaurant.
Take an extra look at the side dishes on offer at Cook Out as well. Hushpuppies, coleslaw and quesadillas are a few of the items you will find to add to your main dish for hearty combination platters called Cook Out Trays.
Looking for some lighter fare? Try the chargrilled chicken selections for plenty of smoky flavor. After all, you will want to save room for a dessert float!
Here are some favorites from the Cook Out menu:
Hamburger Cook Out Tray
One of the reasons Cook Out is so popular are the great combination deals. This combo includes a regular hamburger with two sides and a drink. Try the delicious onion rings and a cup of chili for your sides if you are looking for something other than fries.
Crispy Spicy Chicken Breast Sandwich
If you are looking for something with some kick, give this hot fried chicken sandwich a try. Have it plain or topped with a slice of cheese. Go for the creamy coleslaw for a refreshing and cooling bite that makes the perfect side.
An American favorite, this diner classic has made its way to the Cook Out menu. It is great for a snack, or if you are just looking for an excuse to say you had dinner before your milkshake!
Steak Style Burger
There are several great themed burgers made from fresh (never frozen) ground beef and perfectly matched toppings. This is a popular choice featuring A1® sauce, hot grilled onions, and cool mayo, lettuce and tomato.
With over 40 flavors to choose from, Cook Out has become a favorite family destination for milkshakes. The shakes are hand spun to order so you can have it exactly your way. Just be careful, if you ask for it extra thick you will need a spoon!
Here are a few flavors to tempt your taste buds: Caramel Fudge, Orange Push Up, Cherry Cobbler and Egg Nog (available in December).
Cook Out History
Morris Reaves originally founded Cook Out in 1989 before handing over control of the company to his son, Jeremy Reeves. The original location was in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Since then the company has earned more than two-hundred awards, including many for their BBQ. However, the company has never lost their primary focus on customer satisfaction. Their mission statement is: “To serve customers the highest quality food in the least amount of time in a professional well run way, overall to be the best in the QSR business.”
