Gattis Pizza’s History
Originally founded in 1969 Mr. James Eure found his way to Austin, Texas, where he opened a new pizza establishment “Mr. Gatti’s” to pay respects to his father-in-law. He believed there was more to pizza than a simple crust topped with sauce and cheese, he knew that there were elements of a pizza that spoke to pizza lovers, the right amount of chewiness in the crust, the right kick in the sauce, just the right amount of ‘stretch’ in the cheese. Every day he worked to perfect this combination and present it to his customers with a dedication to quality that made it consistent and beloved. It was so popular that new locations started opening up all over Texas and the Southeast areas of the United States. Knowing how much entertaining the family was central to a solid dining experience, he also opened up Gattiland and every new location, a room set aside with video games to entertain guests.
