You have some choices to make for this crab lover’s delight. First choose among the many wild caught crab and lobster options on the menu, then decide on your favorite method of preparation from six different selections. Crab Cake Sandwich
For those saving room for dessert, this jumbo lump crab cake on a bun is a great choice. A spicy remoulade sauce finishes this classic sandwich with a kick. It comes with fries or onion straws for $12.29.
Campfire S’Mores
The kid in all of us will love this twist on an old camping classic – the S’More. A rich slice of chocolate cake is topped with graham crackers, chocolate and roasted marshmallows. $7.99.
Joe’s Crab Shack History
The first Joe’s Crab Shack was opened in 1991 in Houston, Texas. It was purchased by Landry’s Restaurants, Inc. in 1994. In 2006 the growing chain was sold to J.H. Whitney & Company. In 2009 the name of the parent company changed to Ignite Restaurant Group.
By 2009 there were 113 Joe’s Crab Shacks across the country. Most locations were situated with lakefront views to add to the ambiance of the restaurant. By 2014 there were 138 Joe’s Crab Shack locations.
