Popular Menu Items

There are plenty of choices on the menu at Lone Star. Lots of combination options give you flexibility to mix and match your favorite items. Salads, seafood and soups offer great options for those looking for lighter fare.

Many of the items on the menu take advantage of the mesquite grill, so even if you are not in the mood for beef and choose to go for the chicken or ribs, you can enjoy the smoky goodness of food cooked on a wood fire.

Below you will find some recommendations, followed by the full menu with prices.

Taste of Texas Sampler

A great place to start is the appetizer menu.

We love this sampler selection that includes Buffalo Chicken Tenders, Potato Skins, and Fried Green Beans with ranch dressing and sour cream. It’s perfect for a crowd for $9.99.

Lunch Combo

If you are looking for a great bargain at lunch, consider this great combination deal. Soups include Steak Soup, Loaded Baked Potato Soup, or chili.

For your salad you may chose a lettuce wedge, a side Caesar or a regular side salad. Baked potatoes come with bacon, cheddar cheese, chili or get a loaded sweet potato. You get to choose any two for $5.99 or $7.99 for any three options.

Five-Star Filet Mignon

Steak lovers will appreciate this decadent mesquite-grilled steak. It is perfectly tender and wrapped in bacon to add that perfect touch of salty flavor.

You get to choose two sides, but we recommend the fantastic steak fries and steamed broccoli. $17.99 for the 6-ounce, or add some grilled shrimp to your order for an additional $5.99.

Sirloin and Rib Combo

There are several combination choices on the menu at Lone Star Steakhouse.

This one combines two steakhouse favorites: grilled sirloin with a half rack of baby back ribs along with your choice of two sides. You certainly won’t leave hungry after enjoying this feast. $18.99.

Peach Bread Pudding

This great dessert selection will bring you the comfort of the bread pudding that grandma used to make.

The addition of peaches gives it a brightness that many bread puddings can lack. Give it a try for $4.99.

Lone Star’s History

The founder of Lone Star was Jamie B. Coulter, who had some previous experience franchising with Pizza Hut in the early years of that chain. He opened Creative Culinary Concepts which included 100 Pizza Hut franchise locations in the late 1980’s.

In 1989, Creative Culinary opened the first Lone Star location in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The company went public to raise money for expansion of the chain in 1992. In 2006, the Lone Star Steakhouse was sold to Lone Star Funds, a private firm.

As of 2016 there are approximately 150 locations in the United States.
