Taco Time’s History
Ron Fraedrick, a young man and veteran of WWII came home and dreamed of owning a successful hometown business; one that he could call his very own. After graduating from The University of Oregon in 1959, Ron worked as a salesman; his travels taking him all throughout the West of the US. It was when his work took him to California where he discovered Mexican food for the first time— thus changing his life forever.
In 1959, he opened up his first Taco Time Stand with a location adjacent to his alma mater. And in this case, the rest really is history! Today, Taco Time has locations spanning across the United States and Canada.
