Popular Menu Items
From “The Republican,” a spicy dish with grilled jalapeno sausage to their breakfast tacos, Torchu’s has favorites for everyone.
This fun-loving company aims high – whoever knew that tacos could be done in so many different ways? You wouldn’t think it, but a breakfast favorite like The Migas with scrambled eggs, crisp corn tortilla strips, green chilies, avocado and Pico de Gallo, topped with some cheddar jack cheese is so darn good!
Here’s a few more of our favorite offerings from Torchy’s Tacos:
Crossroads Taco
Smoked beef brisket with grilled onions, jalapenos, cilantro, avocado, and freshly grated jack cheese on a corn tortilla makes this little guy pack a whole lot of flavor!
Ranch Hand Taco (breakfast)
Have you ever woken up and said, I’m craving a taco? Well then this one’s for you! This feast of scrambled eggs, marinated and grilled beef fajitas, freshly grated cheddar jack cheese with diablo sauce on a flour tortilla – make just make you crave tacos every morning!
Fried Avocado taco
Avocados are good by themselves. Fried? We know a lot of people that would be totally down for that! Hand-battered fresh avocados fried with vegetarian refried beans is what you’ll get when you order this one. It’s topped with Pico de Gallo, lettuce and freshly grated cheddar jack cheese.
Airstream Salad
Even though it’s not a taco, it’s made with a taco spirit. This salad packs some serious punch. If you aren’t in a taco mood, then go with the Airstream Salad – a mix of romaine, arugula and mint topped with avocado, Pico De Gallo, corn, cortija cheese, peppadew peppers and pistachios, finished with a drizzle of chipotle ranch.
Torchy’s Taco’s History
In 2006 Michael Rypka created Torchy’s Taco’s. Once a fancy executive chef, he left his job to pursue his taco filled dreams. They soon came true as he started serving tacos in the back of the very first Torchy’s trailer in the food truck capital of the country – Austin, Texas.
Starting as an enterprise that experimented with food rather than creating meals, Rypka quickly found himself with rising debt and no clients in sight. Being quite industrious, he quickly hopped on his red Vespa scooter and handed out free chips with his legendary salsa – it became a guerrilla marketing campaign, personally inviting people to stop by his trailer. And it worked! Torchy’s Taco’s now has multiple locations across the greater Texas area.
