Taco Casa’s History
Rod Wilkin founded Taco Casa in 1974; a true Texan, he missed the Tex-Mex from home when he moved to Alabama to play football in college. A few years after graduating college, he took the skills he learned on the field of hard work and determination, to the kitchen to create Tuscaloosa’s most unique restaurant, Taco Casa.
Over the years Rod expanded and grew Taco Casa into the family business it is today. Since day one, they have always offered the finest and freshest ingredients prepared to order. To this day Taco Casa put tacos on the map for much of the Tuscaloosa area!
