Ben & Jerry’s History
Ben and Jerry’s got their start in a shop built inside a gas station in 1978. Both Ben and Jerry worked behind the counter serving their ideas up to customers in shakes, sundaes, and even scoops. In the 1980’s they began taking the ice cream across the country in their first mobile van, and word of their flavors spread. The 1990’s saw them beginning to take interest in the world and working with companies facing environment and global issues. In the 2000’s they became a supporter of Unilever to stay in step with their values as the company progressed into the future.
