Breakfast sandwiches are served all day at Bruxie. The green in these eggs comes from the arugula pesto that tops ham, cheddar and a farm fresh egg served between golden and crisp waffles. $7.25. Add a side of fresh seasonal fruit for $2.95.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle
This is the sandwich that put Bruxie on the map. You won’t believe the magic that happens with this simple yet perfectly balanced combination. A chicken breast is marinated in buttermilk, seasoned and then fried to a golden brown and joins chili honey sauce and cider infused slaw folded in a waffle for $7.50.
Irish Nachos
A fun twist on a Mexican classic, the base of these nachos are fresh and hot waffle fries topped with Bruxie-cheese sauce, bacon, sour cream and chives. It is plenty big to share for $7.95.
Grilled Chicken Caesar
This classic salad includes grilled chicken served over farm-fresh romaine hearts. What really sets this salad apart is that the Ceaser dressing is made from scratch in house. This is a great choice if you are eating light or just want to save room for a dessert waffle. $8.95.
Belgian Chocolate Sundae
Here is a rich and satisfying desert for the chocolate lover in your crowd. It starts with a thick Liege Waffle topped with creamy frozen custard, Belgian chocolate, caramel sauce, roasted peanuts for crunch, chocolate shavings and whipped cream. Plan to share it! $4.95.
Bruxie’s History
The founders of Bruxie, Dean Simon and Kelly Mullarney, opened the first location in Old Towne Orange in Orange County, California in 2010. The first shop was opened in what was formerly a small burger shack called Dairy Treet. It quickly drew crowds of nearby Chapman University students.
The team has used a slow growth model to open seven more stores in the following three years, focused in Los Angeles, San Diego and Denver. High quality ingredients, small batch roasted fair trade coffee, and yeast risen waffle batter continue to draw in foodies and hipsters for a taste of bold, authentic flavors.
