If you’ve already eaten at a Cold Stone Creamery, then you know what you’re in for. If you haven’t, then you’re in for a real treat.
Cold Stone gets its name from the fact that they use a super cold granite slab to mix your choice of ice creams with your choice of additions. The cold stone keeps the ice cream frozen while a crew member folds in chocolate chips, toffee bars, nuts, or any one of over 30 “mix-ins” that you can add.
Cold Stone offers many different flavors of ice cream a well, from traditional vanilla and chocolate to mint, strawberry, cheesecake, coffee, pistachio, watermelon sorbet, and more. You can choose to get your ice cream served in a cup or a waffle cone — even a waffle cone dipped in chocolate! The portions are very generous, with three different scoops sizes to satisfy any sweet craving, and the best part is that all of their ice creams are made in house.
If you’re in the mood for something warm, they also serve ice cream atop of fresh brownies, cookies, funnel cakes, and even churros for something different.

Chocolate Devotion
If you just need chocolate, and a lot of it, then this is the signature creation for you. Cold Stone takes its chocolate ice cream and mixes in chocolate chips, chunks of brownie, and fudge, all sitting in a chocolate-covered waffle cup. If that doesn’t satisfy your chocolate cravings, then nothing will.
Strawberry Blonde
Blondes always have more fun, and adding delicious strawberry ice cream, graham cracker pie crust, caramel, strawberries, and whipped cream is a sure way to have all of the fun you can handle. And if you get a large portion, you can always share that fun with someone else!
Apple Pie A La Cold Stone
What’s better than a slice of apple pie with a scoop of ice cream? This signature creation features French vanilla ice cream with graham cracker crust bits, cinnamon, and apple pie filling with caramel drizzled on top. Even your grandmother may be jealous of this take on an American classic.
Cold Stone’s History
Donald and Susan Sutherland opened the first Cold Stone Creamery in Tempe, Arizona in 1988. They wanted to create an ice cream that was fresh, smooth, and creamy, somewhere between traditional hard-packed ice cream and soft serve.
Today, there are Cold Stone locations across the U.S. and beyond internationally, so finding a place to treat your sweet tooth shouldn’t be problem!
