Popular Menu Items

If you are looking for a filling breakfast, you will find lots of options to choose from at Marie Callender’s. Omelets, egg combos, and pancakes are among the traditional items you would expect from a family restaurant.

Lunch or dinner includes a wide variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, burgers and traditional comfort classics. Of course, many folks come for the famous Pot Pie, but don’t be afraid to taste something new.

Or, try the soup and salad bar for a filling lunch or dinner meal. Plenty of fresh greens, topping choices and delicious dressings let you build your meal just the way you like it.

Before you go, make sure to look over the bakery section. Over 30 varieties of pies are available at many locations, by the slice or whole. The perfect ending to a satisfying meal is to return to the pies that started it all.

Here are some customer favorites from the menu:

Fresh Avocado and Shrimp Stack

This starter is a southwestern twist on a shrimp appetizer that you are bound to enjoy. The shrimp are seasoned with a Cajun blend of spices then grilled and chilled. They are placed on a bed of creamy fresh avocado, pico de gallo, and a drizzle of spicy chipotle sauce. Served with crisp tortilla chips.

Crunchy BBQ Chicken Salad

This salad is served in a generous portion for a meal that won’t leave you hungry. Bold BBQ ranch sauce is tossed over crispy chicken tenders and served on a blend of lettuce, shredded jack and cheddar cheese, crispy tortilla strips and the southwestern flavors of pico de gallo, fresh avocado, corn and black beans.

Heartland Chicken Pot Pie

Marie Callender’s is famous for their Pot Pie which is loaded with plenty of chicken and veggies swimming in a tasty rich gravy…all baked in a flaky crust to die for. Comfort food at its best, this is a great choice for a cold winter day.

Home-Style Meatloaf Dinner

Comfort food classics are a specialty at Marie Callender’s. This dish features an Angus beef meatloaf which is mixed with copped aromatic veggies and spices and slow cooked to perfection. Have it just like mom made it with mashed potatoes smothered in rich brown gravy and seasonal vegetables.

Knife and Fork Chili Burger

You won’t be able to eat this monster burger feast with your hands! It is served open-faced and smothered in hot chili, cheddar and jack cheese and green onions. Great for a filling lunch or dinner, this feast comes with fresh hot french fries on the side too.

Marie Callender’s History

Marie Callender used to bake homemade pies and sell them to families in the neighborhood to supplement her family’s income during the 1930’s. Her son, Don Callender, scaled up the business to sell pies to local restaurants in 1948.

Over the years Don added more to the menu at the restaurants he named after his mother. In addition, unlike other family restaurants of its day, Marie Callender’s often served alcoholic beverages as many still do today.
