Classic Chicken Pot Pie

Village Inn’s History
The first Village Inn was founded by James Mola and Merton Anderson and opened in Denver, Colorado in 1958. It was then called Village Inn Pancake House. The company was incorporated in 1959 and by 1961 began expanding via the franchising model. The chain grew through the 1980’s through several acquisitions of competing restaurants including Poppin’ Fresh Pies and Sambo’s.
The chain underwent a major brand overhaul after the parent company was acquired in 2009 by American Blue Ribbon Holdings and headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. As of 2015 there are 212 Village Inn locations in the United States.
