There are quite a few things to consider when looking at Hy-Vee’s catering menu prices, but the most important one is which of the Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes are you going to add to your holiday meal?
Pies are available as well, but I’d take a fudge cake over a French silk pie.
Other than holiday meals, Hy-Vee offers classic catering items like meat and cheese trays, sandwich trays, shrimp and seafood. They also have fun, different items like their pasta party bar or Asian buffet.
Meat lovers should focus on the raw meat bundle packs. There are quite a few seafood options as well.

Signature Asian Chicken Platter
All your favorite flavors such as sweet-and-sour, sesame, orange, and mandarin chicken are presented on a platter with sweet-and-sour dipping sauce. It’s the goodness of Chinese food with the ease of a plate of wings. Make sure to leave instructions with the store if you want them to be hot when you pick them up; otherwise, allow time to reheat them.
Meat Bundles
There are ten different meat bundles. The meat comes raw and must be ordered 24 hours in advance.
Meat Bundle 2, one of the mid-priced bundles, includes four bacon-wrapped sirloin filets, two boneless ribeye steaks, two New York strip steaks, 4 ground chuck patties and four pounds of ground chuck. The website details the ounces and fat content for your convenience.
Vegetable Pizza
Instead of a veggie tray, how about a veggie pizza? Hy-Vee spreads vegetable dip on a pizza crust and then loads it up with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, tomatoes, olives, and cheese.

Aside from the veggie trays, sandwich platters, wraps, and specialty buffets, Hy-Vee also has a nice bakery. Although many of the baked goods are not on the online catering menu, Hy-Vee has a great reputation for wedding cakes, and even if you’re not into tall, tiered cakes they can help you create a custom dessert bar.
